HelloMarine was born in Paris, grew up in South of France and moved to Brighton to study Graphic Design. Now living and working in Brighton as an illustrator she divides her time between commissions for clients and personal work that she exhibits regularly.
She loves and is inspired by music, fashion, the Ye-Ye movement in France in the sixties, vintage toys, carboot sales, polka dots and patterns in general, grizzlies, tipis, Alfred Hitchcock films...
Her clients include among others, Lacoste, The Guardian, Penguin and The Big Chill festival.
With some figure work both striking and memorable, HelloMarine's work can be described as vivid, vibrant, sometimes retro or slightly surreal.
What moved you to be a designer illustrator?
When i was a little girl i was spending hours painting and drawing... Being creative makes me happy. There's no other job i would rather do than being an illustrator.
What motivates you to do what you do?
Pushing my work forward creatively and creating images that people like.
What inspires your work?
Music, fashion, people i meet, places i go, the Sixties...
What do you love the most about being a creative person?
The diversity. Every project is different from the previous one.

What is the happiest moment of your career so far?
Getting my first project ever, for Alice's Russell album cover and working for Penguin.

I think becoming a mum in October will be top of my list..
What makes you happy, makes you smile?
Sunshine, my boyfriend, chocolate cake, time with my family and friends, a good gig, simple pleasures..
What makes you depressed, makes you grumpy?
Winters that last too long
Where would you most like to be right now?
Also I'm really happy where i am, next choice would
be Pigeon Point in Tobago.
